Travel Emergency Department RN - $2,265 per week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The department handles a wide range of patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Participate in triaging and assessing patient needs and conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with medical staff and emergency response teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Utilize and maintain specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Float to different units as needed to provide coverage and support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current and valid RN license in New York State.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Documentation of travel nursing experience is required.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Skills checklist matching specialty is required.
• Driver's license with an address matching demographics is necessary.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
