About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency, is seeking a travel Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department assignment at one of its top healthcare clients in Springfield, Missouri. The position involves delivering emergency care to patients with acute illness or trauma, performing rapid assessments, stabilizing life‑threatening conditions, and collaborating with the ED team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with various illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention and recognize/treat life‑threatening conditions.
• Assess, intervene, and stabilize trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Maintain knowledge of general and specific health issues relevant to urgent care.
• Understand and apply triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick, accurate assessments of incoming patients’ physical and mental health.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC may be required depending on the assignment.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care emergency room setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
