About the role

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to adult patients in a fast-paced environment. The role requires critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to handle emergency situations competently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
  • Perform triage, administer IV therapy, and manage emergency medications.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, managing dysrhythmias as necessary.
  • Handle IV vasopressors and assist with ventilator management.
  • Participate in the management of trauma cases, including neuro-trauma and spinal cord injuries.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care delivery.

Requirements

  • Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required.
  • EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in an emergency setting.
  • Experience with various emergency care scenarios, including trauma and critical care.

  • Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact).
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required.

Pay

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
