About the role
The position involves caring for patients in a very high acuity emergency department setting, dealing with conditions such as strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and some trauma.
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient safety and quality of care through adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Administers medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided.
- Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.
- Provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers about their health conditions and care.
- Adapts to changing situations and manages patient care effectively.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.
- A current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Every other weekend coverage is mandatory.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- No floating assignments.
- Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
