Travel Emergency Department RN - $2,163 per week

About the role

The position involves caring for patients in a very high acuity emergency department setting, dealing with conditions such as strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and some trauma.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety and quality of care through adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Administers medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers about their health conditions and care.
• Adapts to changing situations and manages patient care effectively.

Requirements

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• A current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Every other weekend coverage is mandatory.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• No floating assignments.
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
