Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department of a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.
- Aid with patient assessments, interventions, and documentation using Cerner system.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure prompt and respectful patient care.
- Maintain all certifications as required, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC.
- Adapt to floating within all ED sections, providing support where needed.
- Uphold department-specific policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members, demonstrating the hospital’s commitment to patient experience and respectful behavior.
- Support unit technology, including Baxter pumps and GE monitors, ensuring proper usage and documentation.
- Maintain flexible scheduling, including every other weekend shifts, as per department needs.
