Candidate Screening Checklist

• Required Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Experience using Epic EMR
  • Comfortable caring for a wide variety of emergency patients
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced ED
• Unit Expectations:
  • May be assigned boarded patients in the Emergency Department
  • Must be comfortable managing both: Active ED patients Admitted patients awaiting inpatient beds
• Floating Requirements:
  • Must be willing to: Float within the facility based on skill set
  • Float to affiliated facilities within a 40-mile radius if needed
• Scheduling Requirements:
  • Every Other Weekend (EOW)
  • Every Other Holiday (EOH)
• Required Skills:
  • Emergency assessment and triage
  • Critical care stabilization
  • Trauma and medical emergency management
  • IV starts and medication administration
  • Time management in a high-volume ED
  • Strong communication and teamwork
