About the role

The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. The role requires a proactive approach in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care delivered to patients of all ages, with the ability to manage critical and non-critical situations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage patients in the emergency department.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to the care plan.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required.
  • Associates degree in Nursing is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00, bi-weekly orientation
