About the role
The Emergency Department at our facility in Asheville, NC is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level II trauma center and a commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Assess and triage patients according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience; 1 year in an Emergency Room setting is required.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications by the start date.
- Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000 visits) and familiarity with comprehensive stroke protocols preferred.
Schedule
6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (includes every other weekend)
