Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse - $2,373 per week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be capable of handling high-stress situations effectively. This role will require emergency assessment skills, the ability to provide quality patient care, and familiarity with MEDITECH systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess and intervene in life-threatening situations.
• Provide quality nursing care with a focus on clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Recognize and address safety issues for self and patients.
• Assist with the safe transfer and movement of patients using appropriate lifting techniques.
• Function effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Potentially assume charge nurse duties as needed.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• MEDITECH experience required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Critical Care and charge nurse experience preferred.
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months of employment.
• Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation.
