Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse - $2,295 per week

About the role

The Emergency Department (ED) Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in patient assessment, rapid intervention, and critical thinking. The role requires an in-depth understanding of emergency care protocols, including triage, treatment, and stabilization of patients in various states of distress.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze patient conditions through vital signs and history taking.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform EKGs and interpret data accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health issues and treatment plans.
• Participate in departmental training and orientation activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of current ED experience preferred.
• Current NY State Nursing License in hand.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting and Omnicell medication management systems.
• Experience in telemetry and rhythm identification; must pass EKG examination.

Pay & Schedule

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
