Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse - $2,283 per week

About the role

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, serving a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics. The ED RN is responsible for rapidly assessing and managing patients with complex diagnoses and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and assessment of patients in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Manage and monitor patients undergoing emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record, preferably using Epic.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment and care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of emergency department nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
