About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality EP Tech for a travel contract with one of our top healthcare clients in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position involves 36 hours per week on a 9-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with patient care in the electrophysiology lab through technical support to the cardiac catheterization and EP team.
• Use imaging equipment to help the doctor detect and treat heart and blood vessel issues in patients.
• Execute noninvasive procedures as required.
• Review patient history and verify medical orders.
• Evaluate images for quality and ensure the area in question is included; identify differences between normal and abnormal images.
• Communicate imaging results to the physician.
• Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Labs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations, as well as accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner while maintaining a patient-focused environment.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.

Requirements

• Current license in good standing.
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
• Eighteen months of EP Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
