Travel Electrophysiology RN - $2,731 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a Registered Nurse for an immediate travel opening in Richmond, VA for the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in an EP Lab setting. As an EP Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals providing assistance to the physician, including maintaining and monitoring of equipment, as well as assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with procedures that diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems
• Assist with ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, cardioversions, loop recorder implants and more
• Assist with diagnostic studies such as cardiac mapping and EP studies
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times
• Possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 1 year of experience in an EP Lab setting
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay & schedule

• 40 hours per week
• 10-hour day shifts
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Pay package based on 10-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
