Travel ED RN - $2,506 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Albany, New York. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and be prepared to work in a fast‑paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Administer IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
• Document patient medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain and monitor vital signs
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; assist with patient lifts up to 50 pounds as needed
• Cope with stress and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
