About the Role

Medical Solutions is seeking a talented travel nurse RN for an Emergency Department position. This role is designed for healthcare professionals whose sense of adventure is as strong as their clinical game, offering flexibility and high pay.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
  • Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice, including ED nursing.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
  • Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards, based on patient and family needs.
  • Implement the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
  • Modify the plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.
  • Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
  • Communicate with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers, and confer with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
  • Identify own learning needs and take initiative to begin appropriate solutions.
  • Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.
  • Perform patient assessment and develop care plan in collaboration with providers, family, and patient.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with staff, visitors, and families to promote a healthy and healing work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
  • ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing).
  • Illinois state RN License in good standing.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • PALS (American Heart Association) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
