About the role

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
  • Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
  • Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
  • Documentation of the nursing process/pathway must be thorough, concise, accurate, and legible.
  • Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate and safe manner.
  • Implements physician orders as written and ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio; CPR certification required.
  • Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred.

Schedule

  • 7AM-7PM shift schedule
  • 12-hour shifts, days
  • 36 hours per week
