Travel ED RN - $1,909 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the Emergency Department for a travel nursing assignment in Coos Bay, Oregon. The position is an immediate opening requiring 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse you will join a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement patient care according to physician instructions and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Provide care for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, and emergency environment.
• Perform minor medical operations and advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain and monitor patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care, clean and bandage wounds, and administer IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate strong stress‑coping skills and the ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment start

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
