Unit description
- Unit Name: Observation Unit
- Brief Unit Description: 16 New Observation Beds for patients and holds
- Bed Count: 16
- Census: 10-16
- Patient Population: Adult
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 4:1 or 5:1 depend on unit needs
- EMR (Charting System): Epic, Asap and Clin doc
- Floating Required: Yes
- Rotating Shifts Required: Yes
Requirements
- Duration: 15 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
- ED Observation RN Nights & EOW – 36hrs
- MUST BE ABLE TO READ TELE STRIPS
- Years of Experience Required: 2+ years working in one location; and 2 years working as a Traveler
- Certifications Required: AHA ACLS, PALS and Active MA RN License
Skills
- General ED nursing skills including but not limited to: Assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, Cardiac Monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking and patient education
