About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Urbana, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based echocardiography laboratory within a cardiovascular services department
- Perform full range of cardiac diagnostic testing
- Follow departmental guidelines for routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures
- Critique imaging quality including positioning, technical factors, and alignment to maintain acceptable standards
- Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness
- Cross-train to other divisions within Cardiovascular Services
- Absorb and assist performing physicians and sonographers in delivering high-quality echocardiographic exams
- Ensure patient flow and coordinate with other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound
- RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Epic EMR experience
- Level 1 Trauma experience
- Strong documentation skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- License required if applicable

Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shift: Nights, 5x8hrs
Holiday coverage is negotiable
