Travel Echocardiography Technologist - $2,595 per week
About the role
TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a 19‑week assignment in Urbana, Illinois. The position requires 1 year of experience as an Echocardiogram Technologist. You will operate cardiac ultrasound equipment, acquire and ensure accurate images for physician interpretation, prepare and care for patients undergoing echocardiograms, and maintain equipment and records.

Responsibilities
- Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
- Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
- Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams
- Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards
- Perform quality transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
- Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
- Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
- Perform all related processing required for each completed study
- Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting per department procedure; identify and report equipment problems
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist
- BLS certification
- ARDMS‑RDCS or CCI‑RS national certification
- State‑specific licensing where required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Additional certifications may be required before assignment start
Pay
Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
