Travel Echocardiography Technologist - $2,330 per week

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist for a Cardiology Non-Invasive unit in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The position is for 13 weeks, starting July 13, 2026, and works 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS/CCI certification.
• Work in a Cardiology Non-Invasive unit at an acute care regional medical center in Santa Fe, NM.
• Coordinate with interrelated hospital departments including scheduling, patient transport, and billing entry.
• Assist cardiologists during exam dictation by preparing and measuring M-modes and contributing relevant diagnostic information.
• Maintain quality control of echo equipment and coordinate repair services as needed.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities at departmental, interdepartmental, and hospital-wide levels.
• Stay current on advances in echocardiography and seek mentorship from cardiologists on new skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing echocardiograms (2 years actively preferred).
• ARDMS/CCI registered, registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation required.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year allied health education program preferred.
• State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License required if applicable.
• Strong manual dexterity for performing echocardiograms.
• Ability to work at a rapid pace under stressful conditions.
• Two professional references required for consideration.
