About the role
American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 26-week assignment starting July 27, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines
- Critique image positioning, technical factors, and alignment to maintain acceptable imaging quality standards
- Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness, with thorough documentation practices
- Cross-training to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services is expected
- Prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
- Take rotational weekend shifts required
- Handle holiday coverage as negotiated
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
- RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
