Travel Echo Tech - $2,565 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for an 11‑week assignment in Billings, Montana. The position is full‑time travel, 40 hours per week on 10‑hour day shifts. The Echo Technologist operates cardiac ultrasound equipment, acquires and ensures quality echocardiographic images (including Doppler, color Doppler, stress echo, dobutamine, and transesophageal studies), prepares and cares for patients, communicates findings to physicians, maintains equipment and patient records, and uses the McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards
• Perform quality transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
• Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure; identify and report equipment problems
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist (2 years preferred)
• BLS certification
• National certification: ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS)
• State‑specific licensing where required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment start

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 10‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Assignment duration: 11 weeks. Shift: 10‑hour days. Employment type: Travel.
