About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center in Bangor, Maine.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Ultrasound department at a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center that serves approximately two-thirds of the state of Maine
- Primary work location is the main campus, with possible rotation to an outpatient imaging center as needed
- Adult patient population required; pediatric experience preferred
- 40-hour variable shift schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Call rotation required; details discussed during manager interview
- EMR: Cerner
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience
- Current BLS certification
- ARDMS certification required — AB or OB credential required; both are preferred
- Adult ultrasound experience required; pediatric experience preferred
- Must have a valid compact or ME license if applicable
- Full SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration
- 2 references within the past year required, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge acceptable; no peer references)
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility
- Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity

Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
