The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac surgery experience and proficiency in orthopedic, neurosurgery, and robotic procedures to assist with general cases when cardiac cases are not scheduled.The selected candidate will support surgical teams by preparing for procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring safe and efficient operating room operations.Key ResponsibilitiesScrub for cardiovascular and other surgical procedures as assigned.Support surgeons and the operating room team throughout surgical procedures.Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and robotic surgery.Apply strong problem-analysis and resolution skills in the operating room.Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.Follow established operating room procedures and patient safety standards.Collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient workflow and quality patient care.Required QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting.Strong cardiac surgery proficiency.Proficiency in orthopedic, neurosurgery, and robotic surgery for general cases.BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.High school education preferred.Preferred QualificationsCompletion of an approved Operating Room Technician program or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training.Scrub Tech certification preferred.Schedule and On-Call RequirementsVariable 12-hour shifts, with start times between 6:15 AM and 11:00 AM.Weekend scheduling includes two shifts every other weekend.On-call requirements during each four-week period:20 hours of weekday call.12 hours of weekend call.Weekend on-call coverage is in addition to regularly scheduled weekend shifts.Response time: 30 minutes.Opportunity HighlightsWeekly Pay: $2,548Location: San Diego, CaliforniaShift: 12-hour variable shiftsGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekContract Duration: 91 weeksInterested candidates with strong CVOR and cardiac surgery experience are encouraged to apply.About Talent4HealthA leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
