MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified agency, is seeking a CVOR Technologist (Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician) for a travel assignment with a top healthcare client. The role involves scrubbing, circulating, and assisting in open‑heart surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience as a surgical technician in an acute care setting
• Current CPR provider card
• Minimum 18 months recent CVOR experience or completed clinical orientation specific to surgical care of the open‑heart patient population
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac surgical procedures (including CABG and other cardiac procedures)

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments per established protocols
• Function proficiently in scrubbing, second circulating, and third person/Heart Holder roles in the CVOR
• Pick supplies, set up instruments, scrub for surgical procedures, and perform accurate instrument and sponge counts
• Obtain specimens, hand off to circulating nurse, and verify location
• Facilitate efficient room turnover
• Participate in department on‑call schedule
