Travel CVOR Technologist - $2,103 per week

About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified agency, is seeking a CVOR Technologist (Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Kearney, Nebraska, starting 10/12/2026. The role involves working 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts in a cardiovascular OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments per protocol.
• Function proficiently in scrubbing, 2nd circulating, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles of the CVOR.
• Pick supplies for surgeries, set up instruments and scrubs for surgical procedures, and perform instrument and sponge counts accurately.
• Obtain specimens, hand over to circulating nurse and verify location.
• Facilitate room turnover time.
• Participate in department on‑call schedule.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum of eighteen months of recent CVOR experience or completed clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of the open‑heart patient population.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation as it relates to specific cardiac surgical procedures and other procedures as needed.
• Experience with CABG and cardiac procedures.
