The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional surgical support and patient care. Unit Information Unit Name: CVOR Number of Operating Rooms: 6 Patient Ratios: Each case requires 1 scrub and 1 circulator, with additional personnel for pump cases. Documentation System: Cerner Scrub Color: Provided by the facility Available Staffing: Unit Secretary, Charge Nurse, PCA, Core Tech Responsibilities The Certified Surgical Technologist will be responsible for: Assisting with various procedures including CABG, valve replacements, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomies, pacemaker/AICD insertions, and other cardiovascular surgeries. Preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgical procedures. Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and effective surgical outcomes. Adhering to facility policies and surgical protocols. Qualifications Required Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Experience: Extensive CVOR experience with at least 2 prior travel assignments is mandatory. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in first assist techniques is preferred but not required. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
