Job Details

  • Position: Certified Surgical Technician CVOR
  • Surgical Technology in Cardiovascular Operating Room

Job Requirements

  • Must have current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score
  • Completion of Ascension Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation prior to clearance
  • Must provide documented proof of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza Vaccine (optional), Fit Test, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if applicable, Health Statement of good health
  • Must provide Ascension Profile (resume) and at least two professional references
  • Must pass Ascension Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 90 days of first assignment
  • Must complete Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually
  • Must provide Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
  • Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
  • Third-party employment verification for past seven years
  • Driver's License/State ID must be current and valid

Schedule Information

  • 4x10 hour shifts
  • Shift times: 06:00 - 16:30 or 08:00 - 18:30 depending on case schedule
  • 1 night call per week
  • 1 weekend call per month (Friday evening through 06:00 Monday)

  • Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit

Additional Details

  • Ascension Resume and Exit Survey are optional but recommended
  • Ascension Badge Photo required (forward facing headshot with white or blue background)
  • Hiring Manager Evaluation and Name Change Document are optional
