About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Perform CVOR procedures including large-bore IV starts, chin to toe hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, assist with Arterial line, Central line, and Epidural placement.
- Transport patients to the operating room (OR); assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient area under the supervision of a CVOR team.
- Document patient care using the Cerner documentation system.
- Communicate effectively with interdepartmental teams, including nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during all procedures.
- Adhere to hospital-specific policies and guidelines, including those related to BLS certification and CVOR experience.
Requirements
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Advanced skills required: Procedures performed on unit include large-bore IV starts, chin to toe hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, assist with Arterial line, Central line, and Epidural placement, transport patient to OR, assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin prep.
- Must have critical thinking skills and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in CVOR is required.
Qualifications
- BCMA certification is requested.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient area.
- Experience in preoperative (PreOp) setting is a plus.
