MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a contract with one of its top healthcare clients in Austin, Texas. The position is a travel assignment for a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) technician.

Schedule

• Start date: October 18, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week (10‑hour day shifts)
• Employment type: Travel

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or at least three years recent experience as a surgical technician in an acute‑care setting.
• Current CPR provider card.
• Minimum 18 months of recent CVOR experience or completion of a clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of open‑heart patients.
• Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation related to cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and other cardiac cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments according to established protocols.
• Function proficiently in scrubbing, second circulating, and third‑person/Heart Holder roles within the CVOR.
• Pick supplies, set up instruments, scrub for procedures, and conduct accurate instrument and sponge counts.
• Obtain specimens, hand them to the circulating nurse, and verify their location.
• Facilitate room turnover time.
• Participate in the department on‑call schedule.
