About the role
A dedicated CVICU RN to provide critical care in a high-acuity ICU setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition
- Administering complex medications and treatments
- Operating advanced life support equipment and interpreting hemodynamic data
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and emotional needs
- Documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Educating patients and families about treatments and recovery
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize care
- Maintaining proficiency in critical care procedures and adhering to infection control protocols
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of one year recent CVICU RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Qualifications
Preferred certifications: CCRN, TNCC, NIHSS
Skills
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, PC use, and following instructions
- Physical ability to move equipment and perform patient care tasks
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain attention to detail
