About the Role
A skilled Travel CVICU RN to provide critical care in an ICU setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes
- Administering complex medications and operating advanced life support equipment
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and emotional needs in high-acuity environments
- Documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Performing advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting results
- Providing patient and family education about treatments and recovery
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize care
- Adhering to infection control protocols and participating in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- At least one year of recent CVICU RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and computer skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Ability to work under pressure, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN certification
- TNCC certification
- NIHSS certification
