About the role
A skilled CVICU RN is needed for a critical care role in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition
- Administering complex medications and advanced treatments
- Operating and managing life-support and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and addressing physical and emotional needs
- Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately
- Providing education to patients and families about ICU care and recovery
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care
- Maintaining proficiency through ongoing training and adhering to infection control protocols
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent CVICU experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
