Travel CVICU RN - $2,615 per week

About the role

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Great Falls, Montana. As a CVICU RN, you will provide critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment, including those recovering from open-heart surgery. You will receive direction from providers, charge nurse, ICU director, and CNO, and give direction to RN, LPN, CNA, housekeeping, dietary staff. You will work cooperatively with providers, healthcare professionals, and allied health staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients.
• Administer care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics and those requiring pre and post PCI care, pacemaker management, thoracotomy, and treatment for a range of medical conditions.
• Operate advanced medical equipment, including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, and short-term ventilation support.
• Conduct skilled assessments and interventions for potential deteriorating conditions among patients.
• Manage discharge planning and the continuum of care from admission to discharge.
• Act as a clinical leader and assist in precepting staff members.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent open heart recovery nursing experience.
• Current State of Montana RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of advanced nursing principles and procedures in critical care and CVICU settings.
• Ability to operate various medical and infusion equipment proficiently.
• Basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation skills.
• Holiday coverage required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Night shift, 12‑hour rotating shifts, 36 hours per week.
