Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, and placement of ventricular assist devices.
• Manage patients undergoing other complex cardiovascular procedures.
• Deliver advanced care for critically ill adults in cardiac, neuro, surgical, and medical ICU specialties.
• Work in a collaborative, patient‑ and family‑centered environment.
• Utilize leading‑edge technology and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• SSN and date of birth required.
• One professional reference from the last 12 months.
• Direct experience recovering post‑op cardiac surgery patients from the OR in a trauma/teaching hospital setting.
• Experience with ventilators, transplants, CRRT, Swan‑Ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drip titration, level 1 IABP, and ECMO.
• Availability for 36 or 48 hours per week; shift options: 1
