Travel CVICU RN - $2,376 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Start date ASAP, 13‑week contract, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts, travel employment type.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the condition of patients pre and post cardiac surgery.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips, ensuring accurate titration as needed.
• Provide care for patients on ventilators and manage chest tubes and mediastinal drains.
• Support patients undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and hypothermia protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post‑operative care.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with fresh open heart patients and post‑operative care (minimum 6 hours post‑op).
• Experience with CRRT, temporary pacemakers, and management of acute myocardial infarctions.
• Experience with various intravenous medications and titration.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and arterial lines (preferred).
