About the role

The Intensive Care Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care for critically ill patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in advanced nursing practices and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU setting.
• Monitor vital signs and manage ventilators and telemetry.
• Administer medications, including titration of vesicant meds, pressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Participate in procedures such as central line insertion, cardioversion, and chest tube insertions.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding health management.

Requirements

• Recent ICU experience is required.
• Expertise in hemodynamics and understanding of PA catheter setup and interpretation.
• Experience with transvenous pacing and cardioversion.
• CCRN certification is appreciated but not required.
• Skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are desirable.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
