About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Nurse for a 13-week contract position in Columbia, South Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care to post-surgical cardiac patients in a high-acuity setting.

Schedule

• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• 3 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 to 19:30), days
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocol
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform emergency interventions as needed for critical patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and care for ventilated patients

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• NIHSS certification (preferred)

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
