Travel CTICU RN - $1,958 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) position in Houston, Texas. The assignment starts 10/26/2026, lasts 6 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type is travel. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital‑wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years’ recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (or as indicated).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
