Travel CT Technologist

About the Role

The Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce diagnostic images, preparing and positioning patients, following safety protocols, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging. They maintain equipment, document procedures, and adhere to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment for diagnostic imaging of bones, organs, and tissues
• Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring proper positioning
• Set technical parameters for accurate imaging
• Provide images for radiologist interpretation
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Document patient data and imaging details accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for timely diagnostics
• Follow safety standards and protocols
• Perform other related duties within CT tech scope

Requirements

• One year of recent CT technologist experience
• Valid Radiology license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred ARRT certification
• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and adapt to various protocols
• Effective visual and communication skills
