Travel CT Technologist

About the role

A Travel CT Tech is responsible for operating CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, preparing and positioning patients, ensuring safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with radiologists for accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to generate high-quality images of bones, organs, and tissues.
• Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring safety.
• Set technical parameters for accurate imaging of anatomy and pathology.
• Follow radiation safety standards and hospital policies.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment.
• Accurately document patient data and procedural details.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
• Adapt to various CT protocols and equipment across facilities.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of practice as needed.

Requirements

• One year of recent CT Tech experience.
• Valid Radiology license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification; ARRT certification preferred.
• Critical thinking, service-oriented mindset, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Physical ability to handle equipment and assist with procedures.
• Effective communication with diverse personnel and patients.
• Visual acuity and ability to perform detailed manipulations.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to irregular schedules.
