Travel CT Technologist - $3,726 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13‑week night‑shift contract at a community hospital in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. The assignment begins November 30, 2026 and involves adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings. The technologist will perform CT imaging of the abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest including vascular studies, as well as coronary CTA special procedures. Equipment includes GE scanners with PACS and Epic charting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest including vascular studies
• Perform coronary CTA special procedures
• Operate GE equipment and PACS system
• Document using Epic charting system
• Prepare and administer contrast media
• Ensure radiation safety compliance
• Perform peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Requirements

• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience as a CT Technologist
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Valid state license or certification (if applicable)
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Skills

• Proficient in image display and post‑processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Strong radiation safety knowledge
• Competent in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Schedule

• Night shift: 4 × 12‑hour shifts per week (48 hours/week)
• Primary shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
• Rotating biweekly schedule with varying shift lengths including 10:30 p.m. – 7 a.m.
• No on‑call requirements
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 30, 2026

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a different rate.
