Travel CT Technologist - $3,566 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Wrangell, Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic CT examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation, applying principles of radiation protection and professional judgment
• Assist with invasive procedures, operate an automatic contrast injector, adjust contrast levels per age group, and consult with referring physicians
• May serve in a lead technologist capacity, including validating PACS image labeling, coordinating staff scheduling, and supporting new staff orientation
• Maintain patient records, participate in departmental quality assurance, and perform daily/weekly QC
• Work with patients and staff of all cultural and religious backgrounds

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
• Current ARRT in Radiography (or ARDMS in one category such as Abd or OB/GYN)
• BLS certification required (within 45 days of start)
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to the assigned modality
• Competency in sterile technique and tele-radiology transmission
• Must be able to perform duties in multiple imaging modalities and willing to work outside primary modality

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
