Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist to join a fast-paced Radiology team in Edison, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong CT imaging experience, the ability to work efficiently in a busy Emergency Department environment, and experience with GE equipment, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS systems. The CT Technologist will perform CT procedures and related imaging techniques while ensuring patient safety, quality imaging, and excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex CT imaging procedures and related techniques
- Review patient history and verify exam appropriateness
- Prepare and administer contrast media as prescribed
- Operate CT imaging equipment and ensure image quality
- Evaluate radiographs using PACS systems
- Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions
- Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access as needed
- Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, patients, and care teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation within Epic EMR
- Ensure compliance with departmental and hospital policies
- Support workflow efficiency in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required (5+ years preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiologic positioning
- Experience with:
- GE CT Equipment
- Epic EMR
- Fuji PACS
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy ED environment
Qualifications
Required Certifications/Licenses
- ARRT Certified R.T.(R)
- NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) Certification preferred
- Experience with HIS/RIS systems
- Previous hospital-based CT experience preferred
