About the role

Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a position in Rochester, New York. This is a travel assignment with a contract length of 26 weeks, starting on 08/31/2026. The role requires 40 hours per week with flexible 8-hour shifts (Monday - Friday, either 7:00am - 3:30pm or 9:30am - 6:30pm). No weekends, call, or holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures, ensuring proper techniques related to patients' age and ability.
• Review patient information and interpret data to confirm appropriate plans and interventions for age-related needs.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope, standards of practice, and organizational policies.
• Analyze results and identify issues with imaging quality, taking corrective actions such as repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations.
• Monitor patient condition continually and respond to changes in status as appropriate.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.

Requirements

• CT certification and PET/CT experience.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State (NYS) License.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
