About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in South Charleston, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans on patients of all age groups
- Ensure accurate patient identification and documentation
- Operate and maintain CT equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and report scan results
- Adhere to infection control procedures and guidelines
- Provide patient education and support during the scanning process
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications
- IV skills
- Valid driver’s license (for consideration)
- Completed skills checklist within the past year
- Two references: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference
Qualifications
- License required if applicable
- Black scrubs required; jacket must be uniform — no hoodies
- Department-specific orientation provided by Lead Tech
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from this WVU facility to be eligible
- Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
- Travelers may not work within WVU Medicine for longer than one cumulative year without a 2-year break
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2 years of CT experience is required

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Schedule
Nights, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, five 8-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend required. No call or standby requirement. No floating required.
