About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Providence, Rhode Island. This travel position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately
  • Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
  • Provide high-quality images to radiologists for interpretation
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across healthcare facilities

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
  • Valid radiology license in compliance with Rhode Island state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT Certification
  • Other certifications and licenses as required for the position

  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical abilities: remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures
  • Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and work without assistance
  • Sensory requirements: possess visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively
