Job Requirements
- NY State License (Must obtain PRIOR to starting position)
- HCP's currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
- ARRTBLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Two (2) years of CT experience
- Minimum of 6 months of Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
- Telemetry experience required
CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
- Cookordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test
- Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
- Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC to include identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
