Travel CT Technologist - $3,135 per week
About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Mountain View, California.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients
- Provide reassurance and support to patients as needed
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of experience
- Must have BLS certification
- Must have ARRT (CT) National Certification
- Must have state-specific licensing when required
- Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT)
- BLS
- ARRT (R)
- 2 Years of experience
Skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
- Ability to work with radiation safety protocols
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily
- Proficiency with computerized tomography equipment
- Ability to understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Benefits
The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
